Title: “The Seductive Interview”
The young woman, Hana, nervously fidgeted in her seat outside the glass office. She had been waiting for this job interview at a top software company for weeks, and finally, the day had come. Hana was positively glowing with potential – a fresh university graduate with a shiny degree in Computer Science and a bright, eager smile.
Inside the office, Mr. Saito, the hiring manager, was buttering up the company executives for the last meeting before the interview. “I assure you, I will hire only the most qualified and… visually pleasing candidates,” he said with a sly wink. The executives nodded, understanding his meaning all too well. Good hours, good work, and a few demeaning ” benefits” thrown in for the top brass. It was the way of the corporate world, after all.
Hana opened the door and stepped inside, her delicate sandals clicking on the gleaming tile floor. “Mr. Saito? I’m Hana, here for the interview,” she said, bowing respectfully. Her long, silky black hair fell over her shoulders as she looked up, her almond-shaped eyes meeting his gaze.
Mr. Saito stood, his eyes roaming over her petite frame appreciatively. “Ah, yes, Miss Hana! Thank you for coming. Please, have a seat.” He gestured to the chair across from him, strategically positioned so that she would have to hike up her pencil skirt just slightly to sit down. “I’ve looked over your resume and I must say, your credentials are impressive!”
Hana blushed, sitting down carefully. “Thank you, Mr. Saito. I’ve worked hard to get where I am.”
“Ah, but a woman as beautiful as you shouldn’t have to work so hard,” Mr. Saito remarked, leaning forward. “Tell me, Hana, do you have a boyfriend?”
The question caught Hana off guard. “I… um… yes, actually, I do,” she replied hesitantly.
Mr. Saito chuckled. “Of course, of course. But a woman like you deserves more than just one man, don’t you think?” He reached out and brushed a stray lock of hair from her cheek, letting his fingers linger just a moment too long.
Hana shifted uncomfortably in her seat, unsure how to respond. This was definitely not a typical interview question. “I… I don’t know what you mean, sir,” she stammered.
Mr. Saito leaned back in his chair, a smug grin on his face. “Oh, come now, Miss Hana. You must realize how… desirable you are. A young, innocent thing like you, just ripe for the taking.”
Hana’s heart raced. She wanted this job desperately, but not if it meant subjecting herself to this kind of harassment. “Mr. Saito, I think we should stick to discussing my qualifications for the position,” she said firmly.
Mr. Saito laughed. “But, Hana, your qualifications are your most attractive feature! Your youth, your naivety, your… other attributes.” He let his eyes drop to her chest, lingering there.
Hana felt the heat rising in her cheeks. She knew she should just get up and walk out, but the thought of losing this opportunity was too much. “Please, Mr. Saito, let’s just focus on my skills,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady.
“You’re right, of course,” Mr. Saito said, feigning contrition. “But tell me, Hana – are you willing to do whatever it takes to get this job? Because I can assure you, the executives with whom you will be working are… antiquated in their thinking. They expect more than just job performance from their employees.”
Hana’s mind reeled. This was terrible. Unethical. But the opportunity… the money… the prestige of working at such a renowned company. “I… I suppose I can manage,” she said, the words barely above a whisper.
Mr. Saito grinned wolfishly. “Excellent! I think you’ll fit in nicely here at the company. Can I count on your discretion regarding our little… interview?” He stood, extending his hand to her.
Hana stood as well, taking his hand and shaking it firmly. “Of course, sir,” she said. “Just… just remember our agreement, sir. My skills will speak for themselves.” She walked out of the office with her head held high, despite the turmoil inside her.
As the door clicked shut, Mr. Saito leaned back in his chair, a smug expression on his face. Another conquest, another victory for the patriarchy. He knew Hana’s job was as good as his, and he looked forward to the many “meetings” they would have together. After all, he was just ensuring the company got the most out of its employees.
But Hana wouldn’t be cowed so easily. She may have agreed to his terms, but she would push back every step of the way. She had her own talents, after all, and she was determined to prove herself on merit alone. Mr. Saito had no idea what he was in for – but he would soon find out that Hana was a force to be reckoned with.
