The controversial viral video known as “Pera o Kantot” (Malay: “Pera or Cantor”) has been making waves across the Philippine internet, sparking scandal, intrigue, and a torrent of lewd memes. This POV-style rough sex flick purports to feature two 18-year-old University of the Philippines (UP) students – Pinay Viral sensations, if you will – indulging in a raunchy pinay threesome, complete with creampies galore.

Throughout the romp, the camera captures every intimate detail. The music seems to come and go, fittingly setting the mood for the multitude of positions they attempt during their marathon session. The girls say things into the camera, such as their names and the obvious fake age of 18, trying to draw you deeper into their illicit activities. Gyrating hips, wet smacks, grunts and moans – it’s all right there on your screen for the entire world to witness.
Imagining the fallout of such a discovery – for these young women’s friends and families to see them in such a compromising state – only makes the viewing all the more thrilling. The American tabloids have seized on this juicy nugget of morality, with blonde, botoxed reporters breathlessly interviewing anyone who’s run afoul of the three for more gossip.
But what exactly have we here with “Pera o Kentor”? We may never know the truth – were the participating students able to capitalize on any of the revenue streams the video opened up, like Onlyfans and thirsty Time-Life subscription cards? Did their family units-turn hostile at the sudden notoriety, or did they bathe in the cash and tour as guest stars of the sex-show circuit?
Or perhaps this is all it claims to be: two young Pinays letting their hair down after an exams, in the course of jolly sing-song banter with a pal that gets a whole lot less jolly and a whole lot more juddering. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the generation gap of Pinay sexual mores, and a cautionary tale about cyber-publicity.
Other critics take the reductive line that this video is just softcore smut that shows up during java-making youtube videos. But I contend that “Pera or Kentor” delivers the goods where it matters – in slept-in pants and in hair-yanking palm-action. It’s got more than its share of jiggly tit-flesh, as any please can see from the numerous sparkly nicknames the video has spawned. (Bibingka! Tutob!) The Pinay allure is as enchanting as ever, and to all the college-age naysayers I say: they’ve been consenting to sex with peers on camera for decades! Soldiers during the war with Japan, wives during the Muslim rebels – this is how we made it through to the current day!
So there you have it, folks – “Pera o Kentor” is a hell of a piece of entertainment, and I can’t help but salute the producers and performers for finally releasing a fun, light-hearted, government-approved video to counter the po-faced moralizing that’s dulled our TVs down the past few years. It’s just a window into today’s youth, not the climbing, siphoning, iTouching x-rated ad we’re always banging on about.
It’s just glorious, entertainly created. The moralizing can wait until the Up Student Bash on Saturday – and in the meantime, scroll on, nothing to see here.
